So we go into the editing room today before we went out to film to find out someone had ruined and deleted Taylor's edits on Adobe Premier. Luckily, my rough cut on Vegas was unharmed. You see, no one uses Vegas save for me, so the learning curve for the general public is like hitting a brick wall. Theres no one to turn to for help, except for me and I'm not exactly known for my teaching skills, which is great.
We filmed a few scenes today, but only a few due to one of our primary actresses - Amanda - having a breakdown due to a mysterious summons to the Office at 7th period which had been placing her on edge all day. We were able to refilm some missing footage (the school cameras like to screw footage up for some reason) and then disaster struck during the after school editing session.
A good chunk of footage was either missing or accidently filmed over. While some of it was able to be retrieved off of an Adobe Premier auto save, the majority of it will have to be refilmed adding on to what is already going to be a strained filming session on Monday. Monday, to the say the least, is going to be a very interesting day.

A Very Good Day
Today was very productive. Seeing that we had only one day to complete our film, we shot very quickly and got several shots down. But, it was still not enough. I went into overtime and edited a more thoroughly draft of the movie and added more audio. Hopefully tomorrow will be just as if not more, productive as today was. We will still need to go into overtime again to get it finished, but, oh well, as long as it gets done.
We have a long and strenuous day up ahead, god help us all.

Early Script
Since work on this video and other unrelated projects have prevented me from uploading bonus information to this blog (such as a trailer and character bios) I have decided to release some extremely early preproduction work so I don't feel like I'm unfufilling some obligation of some sort.
When the class project was originally assigned, we (the group) were given a script to work with. Not pleased with the character names and dialog, we (I) proceeded to write all over it.
While this is an extremely early version of the script (and is missing the first two pages due to erasing out the pencilwork) the final script is still similar enough that reading my chickenscratch can be considered as spoilers. With that said, click the following links at your own caution. Further note that the images are rather large, so you'd probably want to right click and download them.

You'll note some bits refer to "Addendums" (albeit misspelled), these were parts that were handwritten on a sheet of notebook paper adding on to the script that I threw away upon typing
up everything.

May 06 progress
Today filming has been completely caught up. As in, we've finished what was supposed to be shot on Friday but moved to Monday due to actors not showing up, and then seeped into today due to time constraints.
Luckily, I have finally gotten around to printing customized scripts for each of the actors (something I should have done earlier, but I was low on ink), so hopefully with a greater knowledge of what is going on, we'll have less screw ups.
On the editing side of things, I have completed a rather rough cut out of the majority of the footage we have, while Taylor worked on clearing up some of the white balance on the final cut. Editing while shooting is still being done isn't exactly the best conditions, but its the only way we will be able to finish this on time.
In conclusion, a really productive day.
